The City of Logan is the county seat of Hocking County, Ohio. Logan takes its name from the Indian Chief Logan of the Mingo Tribe, an Indian tribe that once inhabited the area. Logan Ohio provides a sought after balance of both small town charm and big city convenience. We strive daily to pay tribute to our rich heritage even as the future beckons. It is with a promise of respect for our proud history that we enter into that future...one of diversity, quality growth and a cooperative spirit.
The friendly citizens and beautiful sites our area has to offer are just a few of the reasons the City of Logan is an excellent place to visit or perhaps to call your home. Our school system offers top notch education and a wonderful sports program. The Logan Hocking School District is also a proud provider of Cops in Schools.
